Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Tennessee

deed enforcement

My wife and I bought a house in TN and turned the porperty over to a property manager. SInce this time, this porperty manager has made 10-12 payments late, accrued late fees of over $4000 and will not respond to any of our calls or attempts to contact the manager. We feel he is fraudulent and would like to know if we have any course of action. The above actions are in direct violation of a signed contract. Will the attorney general of TN help or do we need to get a private attorney?

Re: deed enforcement

You may likely have a civil claim against the manager for breach of contract and other potential breach of fiduciary duty. You should have your written contract reviewed by a competent Tennessee attorney, however, in order to understand your legal rights, as the written contract will be the primary source of his responsibility to you.
