How to get my name off mortgage? One answer to a question similar to mine was answered do a quit deed. My answer was pay off mortgage. How else can this be done?

A quit claim deed will have no effect on the status of your name on the mortgage. You will still be obligated to pay the debt.
The only way to remove yourself from the obligation to pay the debt is to have any co-debtors refinance the debt or to file bankruptcy.
