Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Tennessee

real estate

Upon divorce from my husband two years ago, it was agreed upon staying in our home because of his daughter who has cerebal palsy had just been abandoned by her mother. Now he is selling the house, without consulting me. The home morgage is in his name only; am I entitled to half of the apraised value - or does the entire sale go to the morgage? Both of our names are on the deed.

Re: real estate

You'll need to look at your marriage dissolution agreement. However, in most cases the mortgage would be paid off before you would receive any proceeds.
