Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Tennessee
real estate escrow
My husband and I divorced earlier this year. The original home loan was in his name only. After I transferred the home loan into my name, he received a check for the escrow. He gave all rights to the home (assets and liabilities) to me in the divorce. Now he refuses to transfer the $1200 escrow over to me. Is it worth my time pursuing?

Re: real estate escrow
Your divorce decree or MDA may have a provision for attorney's fees in case of violation of the agreement/order. In that case, I would say it is worth your time since you would be asking for the $1200 plus those fees.
