Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Tennessee
I recently entered into a contract to buy a house in Memphis, TN. 1st, I realized the refrigerator didn't work. Then it was disclosed to me by the insurance agent that there was water damage where pipes had burst in Oct of 2011. Neither of these were disclosed. I decided maybe there were other items not disclosed and decided to bow out due to no one advising me of these items. Now they will not refund my earnest money. 'what should I do?

Real estate contracts are usually similar but it would be hard to say exactly what your rights are without reading your contract. You probably have a right to sue to recover your escrow and if your contract reads like most, there is probably an attorney's fee provision for reimbursement of the fees you pay out to pursue the matter.
