Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Tennessee

Tenancy in Entirety

Husband and wife were owners of property deeded in 1986, they were legally separated years later and during their separation the husband made quitclaim deed to their son for part of the land. The wife did not agree to the quitclaim, the husband has now died. What happens to the quitclaim since the wife now wants to sell the property? Any case law you can give me for TN?

Re: Tenancy in Entirety

A quitclaim deed only gives the purchaser whatever rights the seller had. The answer to this question depends on what the separation agreement provides for.
