Speeding and Careless Driving
My 16 was charged with speeding and careless driving. I have an appearance set for May 15th to enter a plea. What will happen with either a guilty plea or not guilty? She passed a vehicle, across the double yellow line because the car in front was possibly drunk

Not sure that's a real defense, but 1) the city attorney or 2) the judge MAY throw the charge out if the explanation is credible,--or reduce the charge. In any event, guilty may not be in her best interest. There's little harm in forcing the judge to hear the explanation and having him/her decide guilt.
