veterans disability
I served in vietnam in 68-69, have type2 diabetes and neuropathy since 1996, take 4 daily shots of insulin, (20-40 total units daily) 3200mg gabapentin total daily. How much dis. should i expect?

With the VA, you should never expect anything. Even though DM is presumed service connected and the PN should be secondarily connected via the DM, you may still get a denial or an insufficient rating. If you have already been service connected, or if you get it granted, insulin-dependent diabetics can get anywhere from 20-100% depending on other factors like diet and activity restrictions, the number of episodes of ketoacidosis or other reactions, and the number of required hospitalizations.
