Death In Tennessee
when someone dies in Tennessee and they have no estate but have a saftey deposit box . when the box is drilled by the bank who do the contents go to? the state? next of kin? or the bank?

The contents should go to the Executor of the estate. The Bank is not going to release the contents to the next of kin because the next of kin are not established and proclaimed as such until they have been so proclaimed by the Probate Court. The Executor of the estate disburses all property to the beneficiaries of the estate, be they next of kin or other beneficiaries who may be named in a Will.
