Re: Executor of estate

The Executor of an estate s vested with the authority to sell the personal property, pay any debts of the estate and disburse the personal assets to the beneficiaries. The Executor of an estate, lacking a power of sale clause in a Will, does not have the authority to sell any real property of an estate without approval of the Court which approval is usually sought where the debts exceed the personal assets of the estate.
