Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Tennessee

guardianship-what rights do the child have

My grandfather was given legal guardianship of me in 1980. He always included me as a child of his (not grandchild) Now he has passed away and the kids (three of them) are wanting to leave me out of everything. Legally do I have the same claims as a child?

Re: guardianship-what rights do the child have

In Tennessee you have no inherent rights as a grandchild as a child does unless your grandfather adopted you or unless he specifically left you something in his will.
