Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Tennessee

Unclaimed Property

My mother, who died in 1992, was the sole heir of an aunt who died in 1970. The aunt had a will at the time of her death naming my mother as executrix of her estate. It is unclear if the will was ever probated. There is unclaimed property in the form of securities/mutual funds in the state of Tennessee listed as belonging to the aunt and her sister, who died in 1969, as joint tenants with rights of survivorship. My question: Does my father, who survived my mother and was married to her at the time of her death, have a legal claim to this property?
