Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Tennessee
Will-who can view/read
Can anyone view someone's will or is it confidential?
I would like to read the contents of my paternal grandparents' last will and testament. As a grandchild, do I have that right? The executors of the estate/trust are my aunt and uncle and they are the only ones who have read it. There is money in the trust set aside for the grandchildren, if a need arises. It is unknown what those parameters are and I would like to know. By law, can I ask to see a copy of the will?

You do not say whether or not the will has been probated. If it has, then all you have to do is go to the Probate Court where it was probated to see the will. If you are an heir under the will, you have a right to see the will. You need to consult with an attorney in the County where the grandparents lived at the time of their death.
