Legal Question in Workers Comp in Tennessee
volunteer work
Due to an on the job injury, I've been out of work since Oct 2001. I have been receiving worker's compensation, physical therapy, minor surgery. Since Jan, I've been helping the drama club at the local middle school. I have not gone outside Doctor's limitations/retrictions, and I have not received any money for this volunteer work. Now a coworker says I've been reported for fraud, and there are pictures of me moving furniture. Is what I'm doing at my son's school fraud? No, I am not moving furniture.Thank you.

Yes, insurance companies will go to any extent to keep from paying a claim such as yours....even secretely taking photos and video. You need to talk to a lawyer as soon as you are able....
