Legal Question in Workers Comp in Tennessee

Workers' Comp & Company Negligence

Nov 2000 I suffered head injury due to company failure to maintain safe operation of equipment. I was asked to drive myself for medical attention as the company had no one available to escort me. I kept appointments with the company doctors and worked normal hours for employer during this time. My vision was reduced, concussion was diagnosed, and I suffered black out spells for several months. Company doctors signed release for me to return to work on January 22, 2002. I filed suit against employer for negligence and improper workers' comp procedure. My attorney declined a proposed settlement and the case continues. What time frame should I expect my attorney to finalize this matter? Is this taking too long? If a settlement is awarded, what is the maximum percentage granted to my attorney?

Let me get this right....you have a lawyer and now you want another lawyer's advice about your case. You can't be serious. I am truly sorry about your injury but if you have selected a lawyer to represent you and you can't even talk with him, you should have checked the guy out before you hired him...
