Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Texas
Bankruptcy dismissal
I need to know if I can keep my car and home, if my bankruptcy is dismissed. My hours have been changed, and I cannot make these new payments that are being requested. My
attorney, has abandoned me. My attorney sent a confirmation letter stating my payments were a certain amount, but come to find out that their office person typed the wrong amount.
So, guess who get's to clean up the mess this mess.

Re: Bankruptcy dismissal
You could probably keep your house and car as long as some arrangements can be made to keep the mortgage payments current. I would need to know a lot more about your particular situation. In these situations I often use the strategy of starting from scratch and refiling your bankruptcy case. Basically, your plan payments could be changed and set to a lower amount, etc. But you could only do this if you had never filed before. I really need to know a lot more about your situation.
