Re: green card question

You get a lawyer that knows family law and immigration law. You file for divorce specifically listing the grounds of abuse and assault. You serve him, and you notice USCIS. At the conclusion, he will probably be noticed for a show cause for revocation and removal.

What you can also do in the meantime is write a letter to the USCIS and outline what has transpired. It's definitely a good idea for you to get a lawyer who is familiar with both family and immigration law, but I suggest to write USCIS NOW so that they will be notified in case he decides to take action on his own terms such as hire an attorney to divorce you and file for the removal of his conditional basis.
