Legal Question in Administrative Law in Texas
Drug and Alcohol Policy
We were given a policy that says some of the usual stuff, but also says things like ''the city reserves the right to search me, my personal effects, my vehicle, my desk, my purse'' essentially just because. Do they not have to have some sort of reasonable suspicion to conduct such a search? Also, if I refuse to sign this paper labeled ''Acknowledgment and AGREEMENT'', what are the possible ramifications? I don't want to sign that I agree with this when I do not agree with most of it.

Re: Drug and Alcohol Policy
These types of policies can be challenged, but an attorney would have to research your location and specific facts to determine your chances of success.
