Does an employer have to notify you if they discontinue profit sharing and if so, how much notice is required to be given?

It depends upon a number of factors, including what type of plan design or policy covered profit sharing, whether a profit sharing plan is subject to ERISA, whether any employment contract requires profit sharing and the terms of the plan or policy.
