Legal Question in Appeals and Writs in Texas
I live in an apartment and went through a rough point and couldn't pay my rent on time and the apartment complex filed for eviction. Lost the initial case and filed an appeal with afvidavit for inability to pay. I have been told two different things. On one hand i would have to pay within 5 days of the appeal to keep from defaulting. On the other hand i was told that i would have to go before the judge if my landlord challenges my ability to pay. so one told me that i would have to wait for that, and the other said that i would have to pay my rent within 5 days of the appeal to get a case. Which is the correct answer?
