Legal Question in Banking Law in Texas
My boyfriend and I had lived together for 3yrs, we had a joint checking and savings acct. Feb we split up, I opened my own acct with another bank and signed the joint accts over to him. He gave my online access to his acct to establish a link between his acct and my acct so that I could transfer money over as he agreed to pay half of the rent until the lease is up. 2wks ago he called me asking for money, I told him no. He then made a comment about " unauthorized activity" on his acct. I have now found out that he has filed a fraud claim with him bank stating the withdrawls from Feb to the end of April were unauthorized! What do I need to do? He says he can press charges. Should I expect the police to be showing up at my door?! Can I call his bank and state my case to them??

He's a jerk and a liar, and the police will PROBABLY tell him to go fly a kite (if indeed he actually goes to the police and tells them his lies).
Don't let him scare you into giving him money.
Sit down and write up a narrative of everything that happened, with dates, because over time you'll forget.
