Legal Question in Banking Law in Texas
I currently live in Texas. A credit union in Washington State, where I bought and financed a car, has since repossessed that car. There was a payment plan set up to pay the difference, but due to a stupid situation (which I can explain in detail if needed) the total of over $7000 has been sent to collections. I don't have the money to pay the total, and I can't afford what the agency wants for monthly payments. My question is, can they garnish my wages? I know Texas is a non-garnishment state, but since they are from Washington state, does that give them a loophole?

No. Your wages will NOT be garnished in Texas, unless it's for child support.
