Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Texas
Bankruptcy
Apparently my home mortgage was not re-affirmed during a chapter 7 bankrupty a couple of years ago. Now I am wanting to sell and buy a new house. How will this affect me?

Re: Bankruptcy
Suggest you contact the lawyer that handled the bankruptcy for you on this one.
The bad news is that contracts are rejected if not r4affirmed.
However, I am not sure if this applies to mortgages.
Even if it did, if you have been making payments and they have been accetping them you have an argument that the mortgage was ratified by both parties.
Suggest you assemble proof of payment, and any other paperwork including a copy of the mortgage and the bankruptcy
and take them to a bankrupcty attorney.
