Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Texas
Bankruptcy and back taxes filed
I have filed bankruptcy and had back taxes put into my chapter 13 which I filed last year. My question is now that the new year has come I have filed my taxes again and will be recieving a tax refund. Will the IRS keep this amount even though I filed chapter 13 with the back taxes I owed and on the payment plan?

The IRS will probably keep your refund, but sometimes they surprise me. The best thing, however, is to not count on that refund.
