Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Texas
Bankruptcy
A defendant construction company lost to plaintiff to the sum of 228g. Defendant filed for bankruptcy. After bankruptcy defendant continues in the same business. If defendant is still in the same business for which the defendant settled rather than proceeding with the case, is there a remedy to collect my judgment against the defendant?

Re: Bankruptcy
If your claim was discharged in bankruptcy it is unlikely that you can collect it. Just because the defendant set up shop again does not affect the discharge. Before trying to collect the debt (and possibly violating federal law) you should hire an attorney with experience in bankruptcy law.
