my husband filed bankruptcy 81/2 years ago before we were married. in the last year, we have lost our house and almost all of our belongings in a fire. my husband has been permenately laid off from his job of 7 years. and now we have found our selves in terrible debt. i have never filed bankruptcy myself, but can we file together. what is the time limit on how many years between bankruptcies?

You can file bankruptcy once every seventh years. This is actually based on the bible (See my Firm Philosophy).
