Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Texas
Bankruptcy laws re: land
My mothers bankruptcy was completed in March or April 2007. How long, if any, does she have to wait until she can put her home & land (1 1/2 acres) in her children's names? She is 76 year old.

Re: Bankruptcy laws re: land
If your mother has received a discharge from the bankruptcy court she should be able to transfer her property to her children. I am assuming that the bankrupcy trustee did not sell her home and land. If she has not received a discharge she should consult the bankruptcy trustee or her bankruptcy attorney.
