Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Texas
Bankruptcy and Mortgage
I recently filed a Pro Se Chapter 7 Bankruptcy (2 weeks ago). I was under the impression that if I intended to keep my home and cars that I needed to continue making payments. I tried to make my mortgage payment today and was not able to due to the Bankruptcy filing and the ''stay'' that is with that. Am I at risk of losing my home when I have money to pay my mortgage?

Make the payments anyway regardless of what you are being told. Make the payment the old-fashioned way by mailing the amount you owe by check with the loan number written on the check. You should also request a document from both creditors called a reaffirmation agreement. This will need to be filed with the bankruptcy court.
