I am buying a house owner finance (still in seller's name) now the seller is filing bankrupsy, how can I protect myself and my home?

How exactly you go about it depends on what type of bankruptcy (chapter 7 vs chapter 13 vs chapter 11) the seller filed. The part of the bankruptcy law that you'll be using to protect your house is section 365 (i) and (j).
