Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Texas
I have a civil court judgement on an individual and he filed for bankruptcy; what happens to the judgement?

The bankruptcy kills the judgment - does away with it.
Exceptions: If it's a judgent for child support, or a judgment for some kind of intentional conduct. There are actually 19 types of debt that are not discharged by a chapter 7 (see Section 727 of the bankruptcy code).
If it's a judgment for an ordinary debt, it is definitely wiped out.
