Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Texas
completed chapter 13
I have a creditor who was included in my Chap 13 placed April of 2001 that now that I have completed the plan has placed status on my credit file that it was a Bad Debt; placed for collection; skip and charged off as bad debt.. What is my recource as I am trying to rebuild.

This has become a huge problem. Many people who file bankruptcy don't know that this is going on. Creditors have been getting away with this for years but fortunately there are a few attorneys in Texas (myself included) that have decided to fight back. You have the ability to re-open the bankruptcy to go after the creditor or file a case under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Please feel free to call me to discuss this in more detail.
