Discharging vs. Closed
In short, what is the differance between a bankruptcy (A chapter 13 in this case) being discharged and being closed?

Basically a case that has been discharged means that the Debtor has been discharged of all of his dischargeable debts at the time of filing. The case will be closed on the Debtor that has been discharged. A case can be closed if the Debtor has been discharged or if the case has been dismissed
