Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Texas
If I Am Elligible to file for bankruptcy
We have severly over extended ourselves and I have been out of work for over 4 weeks and the bill collectors are calling on a daily basis. Without me working my husband makes are 1650. a month and with me working around 2400. the bills are around 3000. without leaving us money for groceries. We are sending all of them payments but they are applying more and more interest and late charges and we see no light at the end oif the tunnel. We have tried getting them to work with us to get the payments down and most companies wont work with individuals. We tries going thru consumer credit services and they sat on our payments and made the situation worse. My husband doesnt want to file and said it wouldnt help unless one of us died. I think it can. Could it is there help for us thios way.?

It may be time for bankruptcy
You spend more than you take in. You are technically bankrupt. Filing bankruptcy may not help becaause you evidently need the $3000.00 per month to survive. You might be able to file a chapter 13,,,, or a Chapter 7 liquidation udner the facts as you lsit them. Call a bankruptcy lawyer and go see him. It may the best money you have spent this year.
