Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Texas
I Want To File For Bankruptcy, but I'm Not Sure About What I Will Loose
I bought a home two years ago, well my mother allowed me to use her income so that I could qualify for a larger home. Well, me and my finance are not together anymore.
I don't want to loose my home and I'm really over crowded with all of the bills that involve the house. If I file for bankruptcy, what will happen to my mother? Will the lender come after her?

If your mother is obligated on the house note, she sign it as obligor or guaranteed it, your filing a bankruptcy will not relieve her of the obligation. If you signed the note, not your mother, and the house is security for the note, if you want to keep the house you will have to pay the note according to its terms.
