Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Texas
Should I file?
We are a family with only one income. We are buying a house that we no longer live in and because of that we can no longer afford the payments. We also have credit card debt and a car payment. I would like to know if we should file for bankruptcy and what kid would be best. I am not concerned with keeping the house but I have to keep the car.

Re: Should I file?
Appears you live in WA and property is in Texas. You must file bankruptcy where you reside. Thus if you live in Wa you must file there and would be subject to the rules of that jurisdiction. Exemptions in bankruptcyvary between states. You should seek a WA lawyer to answer your question. Larry Maun 713.266.2560
