Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Texas

I filed for a Chapter 13 bankruptcy in Texas on June 1st because my home was going to be sold via auction the same day. I mainly did this to buy me and my family some time to pack, move, and find a place to live. What I failed to realize that now that there is an open bankruptcy on my credit report no one will lease me an apartment. I did find one place that would if I had written documentation stating that my bankruptcy has been dismissed. How would I go about getting this documentation as I am in between a rock and a hard place. Thank you.

I would suggest renting a home or an apartment from an individual instead of a big apartment company. That way you can meet the landlord and described your personal situation. Some individuals may not pull your credit report. Almost all the major apartment companies seem to rely solely on credit reports. I hope this helps. www.northtexasdebtfreedom.com
