Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Texas
Filing for bankruptcy, spouse has previous Chap.7
Hello:
My husband and I have $23,000 in combined debt. My husband is a computer programmer who has not worked since 9/99. I cannot work because we have three kids and my salary won't cover the costs of childcare. Before marrying my husband, I filed for bankruptcy and was discharged of my debts around January of 1994. When can we file for bankruptcy? We don't see much chance in coming economy for my husband to get working with a substancial salary and right now he is no longer eligible for unemployment. What other options are available to us if we can't file for Chapter 7 bankruptcy?

Given the facts you have presented, the answer is "not much". More information is needed to fully advise you of your options, but if you were dischared 1/94, you can file chapter 7 again now.
