Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Texas
foreclosure: I loss an investment property 6 months ago, because I couldn't afford the payments. I had 2 loans and the 2nd loan bank sold the mortgage loan to another bank. Now the new bank wants to collect the debt, even though the property no longer belongs to me. Can I be forced to pay?

Unfortunately the answer is YES. We recently had a bankruptcy client who had a California home and the home was foreclosed on. He moved to Texas and did not think anymore about it. Several years later a creditor who purchased the second mortgage (sounds familiar) file suit in California and obtained a judgment against him. Suddenly, his bank account was garnished in Texas. We had to quickly file a bankruptcy for him to get his account unfrozen and get him relieved of the debt. Please visit our website at www.northtexasdebtfreedom.com
