Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Texas
I was listed as a prioity creditor on a comany's chapter 11. The company said that my claim of $2,000 was too high and said they would settle for less ($1,000) but put me on as an unsecured debt and I would not sue the company. Doesn't that mean I would not get my full negoiciated amount of $1,000 as a unsecured debtor?

Not necessarily. Note, however, the priority cap for wages is in excess of 10,000.
