Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Texas
Selling a home after bankruptcy
My sister and I own a home jointly in Corpus Christi,Texas. We have both had bankruptcies, she in 2000 and I in 2003 (runs in the immediate family). She's 84 and ill. I'm 72. What are the problems in selling this house under the circumstances? We have owned this home since 1991. Thanks for your help.

Re: Selling a home after bankruptcy
There is no problem whatsoever if both of you filed chapter 7 cases. If one or both are in chapter 13 cases and your case is still ongoing you will have to get an order from the bankruptcy judge. ph. (214) 637-0713
