Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Texas
I was in Tokyo studying Japanese. I went there through a 3rd party agency which I paid a lump sum to for assistance with accommodations and tuition. Originally I was supposed to be there for 15 months but I had to cut my time short and return to the States because the agency had gone out of business and never bothered to tell me. I found out after being evicted from my guesthouse room. They have now closed their offices in Tokyo and Seattle, WA, and the CEO in Sweden is not reachable.
Can I get a refund of my money for the remaining part of my unfinished program???

You may be able to sue and get a court to order the company to pay. Whether there is any money left to pay you is a different matter.
