Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Texas
X Filed Bankruptcy - Credit Card Debt?
My X filed bankruptcy. We just recently got divorced, and in the divorce decree it states that she will take half and I will take half (listing which cards and amounts we are each responsible for). Also, all cards are joint accounts. Is it my responsibility to pay off these cards now?

Your wife may have been discharged from paying the credit card obligations. The credit card companies would look to you . However, it is possible that the order of the family court in your divorce creates a new obligation for your wife, after the bankrupcty. depends on what the court order actually says.
