Legal Question in Business Law in Texas
Abandoning a d/b/a
My partner has filed for an abandonment of our d/b/a without my signature and has filed a new d/b/a with only his name on it under the same d/b/a name as we had together. In addition, he has formed an LLC and excluded my name on it. We entered into a lease to own business contract with both of us having equal liability. Is this legal for him to do?

What your partner has done is improper, but you are going to need a lawyer to help sort things out.
