Can't afford attorney

Am an independent insurance agent. Was just sued for ''malpractice'', i.e. not providing coverage for a customer. I didn't do anything wrong. Customer's insurance was written on a direct-bill basis, but was cancelled by the insurance company because he didn't pay his premium. Injured employee of customer is suing customer and me because there was no coverage in effect. I currently have no Errors & Omissions insurance. Can't afford to hire an attorney. How do I handle this without retaining counsel?

Start reading the rules of civil procedure, civil practice & rememdies code and all cases concerning insurance agent malpractice. You could be ready in about 3 years, or at least that's about how long it took me to graduate from law school. Of course, now I hav 20+ years of experience, so I'm not quite as slow as I was back then. Good Luck.
