Legal Question in Business Law in Texas
I have a booth in a flea market in Houston, Texas. I sell fraternity, sorority, and masonic merchandise. Yesterday a man came into my shop and was angry because I was selling the masonic merchandise. He said that I was supposed to sell it only to masons. He told me that he was going to send me a cease and desist letter advising me to stop selling masonic items in my shop. Is there any way that I can be compelled to stop selling it? I have a lot of masonic customers and I sell to them and to their family members. I have never intentionally sold to a non-mason, but does anyone have a right to tell me who I can and cannot sell to? There are other dealers in the market that sell masonic merchandise also. What are my rights?
Thank you.
