As a Franchise Attorney I can say this. If the contract is signed in Houston, it's obviously executed in Houston, Texas. The more important issues are what does the contact say about things like (1) what state's law applies to the contract; (2) where venue and jurisdiction will be if there's a dispute; and even (3) where the contract is deemed executed. Consult with a good business or franchise attorney in your area for specific advice.
