Legal Question in Business Law in Texas
brand name protection
I would like to use the brand name of a product from over 30 years ago. I don't think company the company name is in existence anymore. I would like to inquire if I can legally use the product name, or if it would be possible to find the original owner and make a purchase request of the brand.

Re: brand name protection
Just Google the name of the US Patent and Trademark Office. Get onto their website and they have a free service where you can check on a trademark.
Hope this helps.
