Legal Question in Business Law in Texas
Business and Non-Circumvention Agreement
Is a business and non-circumvention agreement a binding agreement in texas. I have this idea for a patent and a possible invester wants me to sign this type of agreement. If he would pursue this idea own his own or share this idea with a third party, do i have any legal rights if i only have this document as proof of any legal agreement?

As far as the agreement is concerned: it doesn't make any difference what the agreement is called; I would have to review the whole thing to determine the legal effect. As far as a getting a patent goes, if you have invented something and it winds up getting disclosed to the public, you probably have lost the right to get the patent. In summary, this whole concept needs to be checked with an intellectual property lawyer.

It depends upon the language of the agreement. It will get you into the courthouse in any event.
