Legal Question in Business Law in Texas
Are Cancellation Fees Legal?
Hello I was inquiring to find out if cancellation fees are legal in Texas and what are the terms that are associated with them? Where can I find more information to refer to? I work for a business that ships throughout the country and I needed to know if we were able to charge a cancellation fee, would it apply to the customers who are out of the state? Thank you so much for your attention and I look forward to hearing back from you!

Re: Are Cancellation Fees Legal?
This fee would have to be covered in a contract. If the customer agreed to these terms before making the order, then they would be enforceable as long as they were reasonable. You don't get paid the full price unless you really incurred the full cost, which is very rare.
