Legal Question in Business Law in Texas

class action lawsuit

My husband is in with a class action law suit against a technical school and they have offered a settlement which will pay the lawyer fees and the student loans. we feel like he should be entitled to some sort of conpensation for the time that he spent going to the school. We are just not sure what to do. We feel like they are just trying to see who will take the first thing they offer and they can get away with not giving him what he really deserves. At the same time we are worried that we will not get anything if we do not accept. any advise?

Re: class action lawsuit

If you don't accept the class action settlement, you will have to hire your own lawyer and go after whatever you think you can get. Better be careful. Statute of limitation might have ran on your claim and you get nothing with your personal lawsuit.

Re: class action lawsuit

Your feelings about additional compensation are really not supported by law. You can reject the settlement and pursue your own lawsuit, or take the settlement and get on with life.
